Happy Day
Happy Day. Happy Friday. Happy Birthday Carlo. Happy Wintereenmas (if you don't know, you're an idiot). Happy Sunny Day.
Ok, so most of you out there are probably used to the angry, bitter and cynical me who always has something witty to say about something that's pissing her off. And in general, I am pissed off. But not today. Why?
1. It's 65 degrees outside - so warm and inviting. And the sunset is absolutely breathtaking. I can sort of see it through the windows here in downtown Bellevue, and even though I know in 30 minutes I'll be out there fighting traffic, something tells me I'll be a little more at ease with my windows down on the way home.
2. It's just me and Cam (the white night for those in the inner circle) at work today, which is a nice change. Normally people are dumping their shitty tasks on me all day, but not today. I've basically been able to lay back a bit, listen to Built to Spill, Weezer, Modest Mouse and some Dave while finishing my homework.
3. Speaking of homework, I finished everything on time this week AND I got to learn a bit o' HTML. Despite my initial fear, it's actually quite fun and I've made a sort of mock website in case you're interested. Jenni's Home Page.
4. I also just finished finalizing my one-act play submission for Bricolage, UW's Literary Arts Magazine. The play is called "Leather" for those of you who haven't heard of it and it is honestly one of the only pieces of creative writing I'm actually proud of. I'll let you know if it gets accepted...and if it doesn't pretend I never told you anything.
5. And finally, today is a great day because I was finally able to get over my stubborn-self-centered-narcissism and apologize to some one very important in my life. I'm glad we cut through the bullshit and were able to talk. Felt good. So thank you to him.
And that's it ladies and gentleman. So until my next overly enraged post, you shall have to suck it up and deal with a toothache from this overly mushy and sugary post...
